ZCX (chiller 5-420 kW)

ZCX - air cooled chiller with coaxial evaporator

ZCX is a range of air cooled chillers with cooling power from 7 to 420 kW and R410 refrigerant gas, suitable for outside installation, thanks to its IP54 protection, created to fit industrial cooling processes. This range has coaxial evaporator from model ZCX 108 up to ZCX 161 and the shell and tube heat exchanger from model ZCX 202 to ZCX 1602. Both these evaporators are located into the water tank to improve the heat exchange process. The peculiarity of this range is greater reliability, thanks to the type of evaporator installed, which is more resistant compared to the heat plate exchanger. Industrial field prefers this range as reliability is the main characteristic required. Despite this, all the ZCX models can be installed for conditioning process.
Every ZCX model is carefully designed, manufactured and tested pursuing the main will of CF CHILLER: to offer very high quality and reliable chillers in the market. Indeed, every single unit and its parts are designed to obtain low noise, installation handiness and to guarantee easy maintenance operations, both ordinary and extraordinary thanks to the fact that all the components can be reached with both hands. The standard color is RAL9018. On request, it’s possible to have different or specific RAL colors.

COOLING CIRCUIT
The cooling circuit consists of main brands rotary compressors or SCROLL with carter resistance. According to the power, every unit is composed of one or two cooling circuits with one or two compressors each. The refrigerant circuit is designed to avoid every kind of vibrations on the welding. In fact, all the copper pipes have a small amount of welding spots to eliminate refrigerant gas leaks and breaks due to vibrations. The copper thickness is consistent and enables to
achieve the best smelting and the perfect welding. The coaxial evaporator is used in the smaller models, while the shell and tube evaporator is used in the bigger ones. Anyway, the evaporators are always located into the water tank. Moreover, all the unites are completed with differential pressure switch.

ELECTRICAL BOARD
The electrical board has quite large sizes and it’s located in a specific area surrounded by its frame. All the cables of the electrical panel are numbered and connected to the terminal box. There is always the wiring diagram that shows the connections. Completed with circuit breaker and phases relay to protect the main parts of the chiller, the control section consists of a Dixell microprocessor card with external interface. Every board is equipped with a lock door device .
The standard power supply is 400 ±10%/3/50Hz. Optional: power supply 460/3/60Hz

HYDRAULIC MODEL
Our standard range always includes the water tank, as the evaporator is located inside it. There is the possibility to choose among different models – with different pressure- of water pumps such as P2, P3, P5. Every pump is completed with pressure gauge. The standard unit doesn’t have the water filter installed before the evaporator, but it can be ordered as additional kit.
